The United States and India will co-host the eighth iteration of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) November 28-30 in Hyderabad. As a part of the Road to GES programs, Nexus hosted a panel discussion on “Social Empowerment through Women-led Enterprises” on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

The panel discussion featured Smita Mankad, Head, Food Fortification Resource Centre, FSSAI, Government of India; Sairee Chahal, Founder and CEO, Sheroes; and Ms. Sonal Jaitly, Theme Leader – Gender and Financial Literacy, Poorest States Inclusive Growth (PSIG) Program, SIDBI. The event provided a platform to entrepreneurs, investors, international development agencies, and industry experts for a thought provoking discussion on how women led enterprises play an important role in social empowerment.

Nexus is proud to support the women-led enterprises and bring different ecosystem partners together. Nexus runs an intensive highly competitive 10 weeks pre-incubation program for the selected startups. More than 30% of the Nexus supported startups are led by women entrepreneurs.
