Nexus, in association with Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti, organized the We Connect business plan competition for women entrepreneurs on Saturday, June 9th at the American Center, New Delhi.

The women entrepreneurs got a chance to pitch their business plans in front of a panel of judges, including the guests of honor Carrie Rich, CEO of the Global Good Fund from Washington, DC; Dianne Madray, founder of Let the Women Speak, USA; and Summaiya Afreen, co-founder of Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti.

The event also featured a panel discussion on the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and how to overcome those challenges. The event was attended by more than 70 participants featuring speakers such as Dr. Neeti Rustagi, Faculty, Community Medicine AIIMS, Mehrun Nisha, first Indian female bouncer and Sumita Mehra, founder of Space Symphony, among others.

The panelists brought different practical perspectives to the table because of the diverse range of industry expertise. The energy, enthusiasm and the active participation of the entrepreneurs made it a huge success.
