Following the formal launch on February 8th by the US Ambassador to India, Kenneth I. Juster, the South Asia Connect program began its outreach activity in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 10th-12th, 2018.

Erik Azulay, Nexus Director, and Divya Rajput, South Asia Connect Program Manager, interacted with entrepreneurs at the BRAC University and with both men and women entrepreneurs at a roundtable in the EMK Center, Dhaka.

The entrepreneurship roundtable was attended by leaders of entrepreneurship organizations including incubators, accelerators, early stage venture funds, social program managers and research organizations. The stakeholders discussed key factors which impact the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bangladesh and ways to build connections through the South Asia Connect program. Erik Azulay highlighted Nexus practices and how the SAC training program can empower entrepreneurs to build market-linked business models. Divya Rajput emphasized on the need to collaborate to build regional cooperation among South Asian countries.

The South Asia Connect program serves entrepreneurs in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka with a collaborative network for regional and global company acceleration.
