Nexus Startup Hub @ the American Center, New Delhi, kicked off the first of six 2019 Incubator Manager Training sessions from Hyderabad on January 28th and 29th.

In 2018, Nexus had organised two Incubator Manager Training sessions, one in New Delhi and another in Chandigarh. The training is funded by US Department of State and operated by the IC² Institute of The University of Texas at Austin.

US Consulate APAO Akash Suri interacted with the participants and invited them to collaborate with consulate initiatives on entrepreneurship and incubation.

The training on principles of incubation and planning an effective incubation program was attended by 22 practicing incubator managers from Hyderabad and neighboring states. The training was conducted by Glenn Robinson, Assistant Director of the IC² Institute.

The program had received 187 applications from incubator managers across India who are beneficiaries of public funding schemes and recognized by at least one government agency in India. The program will impart training to at least 120 incubator managers across six cities (Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Jaipur) in phase 1, of which 40 will be selected to undertake an online innovation readiness program in phase 2 (April). Of those, 20 incubator managers will be selected to attend an advanced five-day, in-person training at Nexus in New Delhi in May 2019.
