On March 12th, 2018, Nexus and the American Center organized the Entrepreneurship Summit of Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT). LFT is a volunteer-run organization aimed at creating extraordinary leaders through leadership training and the creation of platforms to lead social change. LFT aims at grooming college students in leadership and social development by providing them skills and personality development training. LFT is the largest youth engagement non-profit organization for social development in Delhi NCR reaching out to nearly 700,000 college students and expanding globally.
Mr. Erik Azulay, Director of Nexus, spoke about the role of entrepreneurship and how it can lead to a sustainable path of development. He motivated the students to take up entrepreneurship as a career for leading change in the country. He also took part in the panel discussion about social entrepreneurship with leaders such as Mr. Madhu Kannan, Country Head and Managing Director of UBER, Mr. Anil Anthony, Executive Director of Cyber India, Ms. Neha Kirpal, Director of India Art Fair and Mr. Adarsh Kumar from the World Bank. The entrepreneurship summit was attended by more than 450 student entrepreneurs.
Nexus supports entrepreneurs through its innovation hub and business incubator with dedicated programs for entrepreneurs in South Asia (Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) and women entrepreneurs enrolled in Indian universities.
Nexus Innovation Hub hosts highly interactive sessions at the American Center including panel discussions, pitching sessions, interactive webcasts, masterclasses and training workshops for the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. These events are open to the public and provide unique opportunities to startups to interact with entrepreneurial experts and industry leaders.
