Nexus workshop on “What Angel Investors Look For” by Indian Angel Network
On October 30th, the COO of Indian Angel Network (IAN), Mr. Digvijay Singh, conducted a classroom session at Nexus on what angel investors look for while investing in a startup. IAN is the biggest angel network in the world.
Digvijay gave practical advice on what investors look for while investing in a startup, how they decide and choose the startups and how important it is that startups focus on execution and team building. Leading the biggest angel network as a COO gave Digvijay unique insights into how startups are selected for funding. On average IAN funds a startup every 8-10 days.
He was impressed that Nexus selected startups are solving some unique problems and operate in different sectors such as health care diagnostic tools (non-invasive), electronics, agriculture, media, personal hygiene etc.
His presentation was followed by Q&A which gave all the Nexus supported startups a chance to understand how they can fine tune their business and how they can focus on different aspects of business in order to attract funding. He resolved the specific queries of the startups and his answers provided insightful feedback on how to develop their business model.
