The American Center is where the U.S. Embassy conducts people-to-people diplomacy in New Delhi. A space for dialogue between the United States and India’s citizens, the Center offers a wide variety of programs aimed at stimulating discourse between our two nations, from cultural events such as film festivals, art exhibits and concerts, to speaker series addressing the day’s topical issues.
The American Center, which also offers a full-service circulation library, is located in the center of New Delhi and hosts approximately 600 visitors every day. It is one of the over 700 American Spaces that form a worldwide network of in-person engagement platforms where visitors learn about the United States through cultural experiences, conversations, collaboration, and self-discovery.
The IC² Institute is an interdisciplinary unit of The University of Texas at Austin specializing in the practice of entrepreneurial wealth creation. Within the Institute is one of the world’s most prominent business incubators, the Austin Technology Incubator, which has an 88% funding success rate and whose companies have raised over $570 million over the last five years.
IC² utilizes its experience and proven methodologies to drive growth and development of innovative technology-based businesses. Its programs have provided commercialization know-how to entrepreneurs and partner organizations while showing concrete business development results in over 35 countries worldwide. Working together with the American Center and local partners, IC² looks to use its network, experience and methodologies to create a new collaborative innovation hub in Delhi that can be replicated throughout India.
